Finishing Gaisce And Moving Fordward
I am now nearly finished my gaisce activities. I have completed the first three sets of thirteen weeks and I am not doing my twenty-six week on, which is going to be my physical activity, ‘gym’. I have enjoyed having the commitments to Gaisce and have also enjoyed what I chose to do. I finished me community service weeks but have continued to go to RDA and volunteer, since Iv finished. I am also still blogging but not weekly as I haven’t had much to blog about. I am about four or five weeks off finishing my Gaisce and I’m proud to be able to say I completed it and will definitely be considering moving onto silver level.
RDAI day one
RDAI DAY ONE
Today, the 3rd of October we did our first day of community service with the RDAI, the riding for the disabled association ireland.they are based down in balinteskin farm at the Red Cross. They do amazing work with helping the disabled children in schools around our areas and help them to be happy and be comfortable with themselves. The horses give them the extra set of legs and confidence they need.
For the first day we learned all the basics and the rules of being around the children and horse so as everybody is safe. I helped with demonstrations by sitting up on the ponies and allowing people to be helpers and know how to help me for if I was one of the children. It was a great experience and I am excited to continue on and I am looking forward to next week.
